Big soda
Big soda is a term used by the media〔("Big Soda's Sticky End." ''Business Week.'' )〕 and various activist groups〔"Big Soda vs. Our Kids: Better Beware of Benzene in Soda Pop." ''CommonDreams.org Newsletter''()〕 to describe the soft drink industry as a collective entity. The term connotes the business and lobbying power of soft drink companies, much like Big Oil and Big Tobacco are used in reference to their respective industries. Big Soda is typically used in relation to the 3 giants of the soft drinks market, being The Coca-Cola Company, PepsiCo, and the Dr Pepper Snapple Group, formerly Cadbury Schweppes, respectively. However the term has also been used in respect of soft drinks industry generally. ==References==
